These Are Our Focus Areas At Oaks Africa

Our primary focus is Africa.

We have started our work in

Eastern Africa

With our operation base in

Kenya

specifically Bomet and Kericho Counties.

Eastern Africa is one of the fastest growing regions in the world, but the benefits of this growth are not shared equally. Millions of people have little access to basic services and opportunities. This inequity is evident in the region’s imbalanced distribution of resources and lack of opportunities for women and young people. The Oaks Africa Foundation is working to address these inequities through collaboration with local communities and other development partners. The foundation is currently focusing on education, but it also works in the areas of green growth and water and sanitation.

EDUCATION

At Oaks Africa Foundation, we firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities. Moreover, we understand that education is a powerful catalyst for social mobility and personal growth, opening doors to a brighter future. By investing in education, we aim to empower individuals and build a sustainable foundation for progress and development.

Our scholarship initiatives are designed to identify talented and well deserving individuals who face financial barriers to their educational aspirations. Consequently, by offering financial support, mentorship, and guidance, we ensure that these students have the resources they need to pursue their academic dreams.

We believe that by investing in their education, we are not only equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge but also empowering them to become successful contributors to positive change in society. Furthermore, this approach ensures that they are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. In essence, our goal is to nurture individuals who can make a lasting impact on the world around them.

GREEN GROWTH

At Oaks Africa Foundation, we are dedicated to promoting green growth and environmental sustainability within the communities we serve. To this end, one of the ways we achieve this is by channeling funds towards impactful forestation projects, specifically afforestation and reafforestation initiatives. By supporting these projects, we aim to not only mitigate environmental degradation but also enhance biodiversity and ecosystem resilience.

We recognize the crucial role that forests play in mitigating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and supporting local ecosystems. Additionally, through strategic partnerships and collaborations, we work towards enhancing forest conservation efforts and promoting sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and local communities.

Additionally, we actively support reafforestation efforts, which focus on replanting trees in areas that have experienced deforestation or forest degradation. reafforestation initiatives.

WATER & SANITATION

At Oaks Africa Foundation, we recognize that access to clean water and adequate sanitation facilities is a fundamental human right and a crucial aspect of community well-being. Consequently, we are committed to improving water and sanitation conditions in the communities we serve by channeling funds towards impactful projects in this area. Through these efforts, we aim to create a sustainable impact and enhance the quality of life for all community members.

We invest in partnerships to provide quality water sources like wells and purification systems, ensuring communities access safe drinking water. We also support sanitation projects, focusing on hygienic toilets, waste management, and hygiene education.
